4N News

The year has flown by so quickly and the students of 4N have been on a mission to create a Christmas theme in their classroom with lights, mini trees, decorations, a Christmas tree and a life-size Santa! Students have been wearing Santa hats and preparing Christmas cards for their Foundation Buddies. It is safe to say that Christmas has definitely arrived in 4N

This week students had their final swimming lesson at Splash’s in Clyde. They enjoyed the experience as many of them haven’t had lessons because of lockdowns. It was wonderful to see their smiling faces as they learnt some swimming skills. Thank you to the parents that came to watch –it was lovely to see you there.

Sophie T was awarded first prize in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. We would like to say a big well Done and we are very proud of Sophie’s wonderful efforts.

Some students from 4N enjoyed the Genre Reading Challenge morning tea. They were presented with a certificate from Mrs Williams and enjoyed some delicious food. Congratulations to McKenzie, Jessica, Ally, Paramveer, Takdeer, Enaksha, Allegra, Jayda, Jaxon, Ebaadat and Tej.

4N had a very exciting lesson this week. The students received a class reward which included a Senior School art lesson. A big thank you to Mrs Bonnie Midwinter who happily taught the students. She introduced them to ‘Zentangles’ and the skill of drawing detailed patterns using pencils and fine liners inside a Christmas tree.

The students are looking forward to seeing their Foundation Buddies next week. We have some Christmas games planned along with a special song and dance they have been practicing.

These next few weeks will be jam-packed with lots of fun and excitement. 4N would like to wish our Casey Grammar community a very Merry Christmas!

Hamper of Hope

This year, Casey Grammar School (Leaver House JS) is supporting The Salvation Army Cranbourne through their new Hamper of Hope initiative. All donated items will be used to make hampers to donate to those struggling within our local community.

Each JS class has been given a basket to fill with non-perishable food items/gifts for a family. Details are in Google Classroom (Yr3-6) or outside your child’s classroom (F-Yr2)

Please bring donations to school by Monday, 28 November and please give generously to support our local Salvos and those doing it tough at this time of year.
