Every Day, a Discovery

From the moment I arrived at Casey Grammar, I have felt welcomed by students from all year levels. I have been greeted warmly, introduced to freshly hatched chicks, shown beautiful artwork, and seen lunchboxes filled with healthy, amazing food! I have also heard Year 12 leaders speak with confidence and compassion, seen great musicians sing and play, and witnessed students initiating significant community action through Reconciliation Week.

This year’s Reconciliation Week theme is ‘Be Brave, Make Change’. As a newcomer, I have witnessed a school in action over the past few weeks, with a passion and purpose to “be the change you wish to see in the world” (a saying attributed to Mahatma Gandhi). The staff and students of Casey Grammar have integrity and authenticity which will set them apart as change makers now, and into the future.

Our community and our world are longing for the hope and hunger for positive change you all embody at Casey Grammar School.

I am pleased to be part of the Casey Grammar community for 2 days a week for the rest of this year as Mrs Monique Riviere-Pendle takes maternity leave to welcome her newest family member.

Please do not hesitate to contact me via phone, email or in person. I am excited to cheer you on in your journey of discovery!

Blessings,

Reverend Cindy Waters
