National Careers Week (Week 4 – Term 2)
Casey Grammar School will be celebrating National Careers Week (Monday 12 May – Friday 16 May).
National Careers Week is an initiative of the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) and aims to celebrate careers, career development, career development services and career development practitioners while promoting the economic, social and personal benefits of career development.
How will Casey Grammar School Celebrate National Careers Week?
We are encouraging students to ‘Break Barriers. Build Futures.’ To do this, we will run the following activities:
- Senior School Assembly (Theme: Careers)
- Year Level Subject Selection Briefing/s (Week 4)
- Subject Selection Expo (Years 8–11)
- Victorian Careers Show 2025 (Year 12)
A Dress Up Day will be held on Friday 16 May. Students across the Junior and Senior School will have the opportunity to dress up in a costume that reflects a job that they might be interested in pursuing in the future.
It should be a wonderful week.
Subject Selection Expo (Tuesday 13 May 2025) – Save the date!
The Senior School Subject Selection Expo will be held on Tuesday 13 May 2025.
The purpose of the evening is to provide information to support your child in making informed subject selection choices. The event similarly aims to provide parents/guardians with the opportunity to better understand the academic pathways your child may take through Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 (and beyond). The event is targeted to current Years 8, 9 and 10 students.
Date: Tuesday 13 May 2025
Time: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Where: VCE Building
In addition to the information stands provided by each department, there will be targeted presentations that will be delivered in the VCE Lecture Theatre. These sessions will be delivered by Tegan West (Head of Senior School Teaching and Learning) and Sarah Blythman (Head of Careers and Student Pathways).
