Alumni Success!

Last Friday, the VCE Seasons of Excellence ‘Top Screen’ officially opened at ACMI.

We are very proud of Jasmine Lane (Class of 2022) who had her short film selected for this exhibition, which is now open to the public until 28 April.   If you are in the city over the coming weeks, I recommend you pop into ACMI to see the exhibition.

In addition to Jasmine's success, our current year 12 students have been learning about life after school from some of our alumni.  We are grateful to our past students who continue to stay connected and contribute to the school. Thank you to Keisha C, Caitlin B, Joel D, Liam B, Dash B, Cooper S, Alastair M, Juna G, Rachel S, Layla H and Bridie F for returning to school to speak to our VCE students and answer their questions about life after school.

Camping Fun

Term one is full of camps! Last week our Year 4 students enjoyed their overnight camp in the city and our Year 5 students are currently enjoying their camp at Rye. Camps are an important part of our student’s learning program as well as a lot of fun.

Harmony week

Last week we immersed ourselves in a week of celebrations as we participated in Harmony Week.

During the week we enjoyed a colourful and joyous Senior School assembly which showcased different languages, music, dance and poetry. Our Junior School students loved dressing up in their cultural clothing or in orange.  Our Foundation to Year 2 students showed great confidence in their special cultural dress parade. The parade was also enjoyed by many parents. Thank you for taking the time to see your child shine in the parade! During the week students had the opportunity to enjoy making and eating crepes, waffles, paella and shortbread. We are grateful to our School Chaplain, Mrs Riviere Pendle, for her tireless organization of this week of festivities.

Child Safety

As part of our commitment to Child Safety, we expect all members of the school community to adhere to a Code of Conduct. The Parent Code of Conduct can be found on the school’s website, or you can click the link below. Please ensure you read the Code of Conduct and adhere to it in all interactions with members of our school community, particularly our students.

Year 10 Careers and Pathways week

This week our Year 10 students are engaged in the Careers and Pathways week. The students spend three days off campus visiting Universities including Swinburne University, Monash University and Deakin University. The two days on campus include an Enterprise Day and a day of Looking Forward.
