Debutante Ball

I had the pleasure of attending the Debutante Ball on Saturday 6 August. Fifty Year 11 students were joined by families and friends as they were formally presented and proudly performed the dances that they had been rehearsing for several months.

Not only did these debutantes look incredible in their beautiful white dresses and classy tuxedos, but they were also able to form a special bond with their cohort and create long-lasting memories together.

The Debutante Ball is not an official Casey Grammar event. However, we have a strong tradition of supporting our Year 11 students to pursue this opportunity. This year’s Ball was organised by Southeast Presentation and held at Alencia Receptions. A date has been put in the calendar for students wishing to participate in 2023!

Senior School House Competition

Our Senior School House competition is in full swing this term with a number of competitions to suit all year levels and a range of interests. In the recent House Public Speaking competition, finalists spoke on the topic of ‘integrity’, one of our School Values, in a prepared persuasive speech.

The content they delivered was thought-provoking and their delivery was outstanding. Congratulations to the winning house – Reid, and to our best speakers Andreea G (Year 7 to 9 age group) and Nathan K (Year 10 to 12 age group).

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

In Term 3, families are invited to make appointments for Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences. This is an opportunity for discussion based on the recent formative feedback that has been released on Seqta. Conferences for students in Years 10 to 12 are being held online via Teams on Thursday 25 August, and Years 7 to 9 on Wednesday 31 August. Please check your email the week prior for how to access the appointment booking system.
