Congratulations Gurleen Kaur

Congratulations to Gurleen Kaur, Year 10, on her selection into the Monash Scholars program.

The Monash Scholars is a prestigious program for high-achieving secondary school students and gives high potential students a unique head-start in university life.

ACU Guarantee Program – Applications Open

Applications for the ACU Guarantee program are now open. The ACU Guarantee program offers eligible Year 12 students a place at Australian Catholic University based on their Year 11 results.

Offers may be made as early as July.

While successful applicants must still complete Year 12 exams, they can do so secure in the knowledge that their marks from Year 11 meet ACU’s entry requirements. Students may also enhance their entry score by including a short personal statement that gives ACU an insight into their personal circumstances and motivation for university study.

For further information, please speak to Ms Blythman or visit this link.

VTAC Information Session

On the evening of Tuesday 27 July we will be running a VTAC information session for Year 12 students and their parents/guardians. Further information regarding this event will be provided in early Term 3, however I encourage you to keep this date in mind.

This important session will provide an overview of the VTAC course application process and will explain how your children will be supported as they transition from CGS to further study, training and/or employment in the future.

VTAC key dates 2021-2022

The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) is a hub for tertiary course applications in Victoria. VTAC receives, processes and forwards course applications to universities, TAFEs and independent tertiary colleges in Victoria, and a few outside Victoria.

VTAC also processes special consideration claims through the SEAS application and processes some scholarship applications. VTAC’s other role is calculating the ATAR for Year 12 students.
