Buddy the Wellbeing Dog

Buddy, our wellbeing dog, has increased his hours to four days a week this year (he has Wednesdays off). We expect Buddy to visit more classrooms this year and to be involved in most aspects of school life. It is therefore important for you to keep us informed of any allergies or dog fears your child may have.

If you have not yet done so, please complete the wellbeing dog survey in the link below. If you completed the survey last year, you do not need to complete it again.

ChildSafe Policy Reminder

It is an expectation that all adults in our community will follow the ChildSafe standards. If you have not yet done so, please make the time to read our new ChildSafe Policies which can be found on the school website.

It is particularly important that all adults follow the ChildSafe Code of Conduct so please reacquaint yourself with this document which can be found here

Over the coming weeks, there are a number of school events parents might choose to attend. Please note the following important ChildSafe expectations;

  • Adults should not enter any of the student toilet areas for any reason. Parents, or parents with toddlers, who need the toilet, should use the adult toilets at Reception.
  • Parents must avoid taking photos or videos which contain other students. If you plan to post photos or videos of your children on social media, please ensure other children are cropped out or seek the permission of their parents before posting the photo/video. If a parent/carer requests that you do not circulate an image of their child to others, please comply with the request.

The eSafety Commissioner provides additional recommendations to help protect children’s privacy online and we encourage all families to visit www.esafety.gov.au for more information.

Concussion Policy Reminder

To ensure the health and safety of our students, it is important that parents/carers report any concussion sustained outside of Casey Grammar to the school nurse. Students cannot return to school and/or sport until the nurse receives medical clearance from a doctor. Here is the full Concussion Policy for your information:
