Christmas Services

The last few weeks we have been busy recording our Christmas Services ready to be streamed to the students across the school. The Junior School students have been learning Silent Night in Auslan, learning dances, recording solos and prayers as well as creating their own nativity play. It has been wonderful to watch it all come together. Both services will be available to students through their class teacher on Thursday 3 Dec period 3, however, Junior School parents will also be able to view their Chapel service through a link that will be distributed. My thanks to Mrs Ruth Grant and Mr Simon Hall for all of their assistance in helping us to create these services.

Christmas Hamper Updates

Our Junior School Social Justice Captain and our Senior School Social Justice Group have been very busy in the Chapel collating the donations from across the school. We have almost completed all of the Christmas hampers for the Salvation Army and we are in the process of sorting and packaging the stationery and toiletries items for Backpacks for Vic Kids. Photos of the process are going to be shown as part of the Christmas Chapel so that everyone can see the completed donations.

Year 11 into Year 12 Transition Chapel

On Friday afternoon, our Year 11s had their first event as the Year 12s of 2021 prior to their Early Commencement classes next week. As part of this, their Heads of House contributed hopes for them. Here is what they said:

Year 12, I hope for 2021 to bring you balance. To be able to give you all the experiences you deserve in your final year, and give you opportunities to learn, grow, enjoy and celebrate. I hope for you all to have a safe and calm summer break, and recharge yourselves for 2021.

To the 2021 Year 12 students, I hope that you continue to show care to yourselves and to one another. I hope that you achieve your goals and reap the rewards of your efforts. Year 12 Boothians, best wishes for 2021!

I hope that you reach and fulfil your potential.

I hope that you can be fulfilled and satisfied with what year 12 brings.

I hope you can trust me to support and care for you.

I hope that you can stay healthy and balance your time wisely.

I hope that you don’t dwell in possibility, but rather rise to the challenge.

Let your hopes, and dreams shape your future.

Schools are unique places in that we are always moving forward-looking to the next things and we pray God’s blessing on our Senior students as they prepare for their final year as Casey Grammar students. Every blessing in the week ahead, and for a peaceful Christmas break.
