Celebrating Harmony Week

This week we are excited to have our annual celebration of Harmony Week. It is my favourite week of the year! This year, for the first time, we have invited staff members to run classes, including K-Pop Dance yesterday.

It is wonderful to have students from Year 5-12 involved, dancing together and celebrating Korean dance culture. Sincere thanks to Carmen Li, Laura Moya and John Palomares for leading these classes. Today students enjoyed Zumba and later in the week are looking forward to a Spanish Paella lesson.

We also have the Junior School Harmony Week Assembly for Years 3 – 6 coming up later in the week where we will have performances from Junior and Senior School students. On Friday, we will have our annual Senior School Harmony Week performance.

Students have been rehearsing in the Chapel and we have also enjoyed watching them practice in the PAC. After last year’s amazing performance by a group of Year 12 students, we are excited to have another large group of Year 12s performing to conclude the week’s celebrations.

Parents/guardians of performers are welcome to attend by signing into reception, coming to the PAC, and wearing a mask.

  • Junior School Assembly: 9.00 am, Thursday, 25 March (please be seated by 8.55 am)
  • Senior School Lunch Performance: 12.40 pm, Friday 26 March

Students Feature in Easter Services

Next week is the commencement of Holy Week, beginning with Palm Sunday. We will share in this significant event in the Christian calendar with two services.

Parents/guardians of our Year 6 students are welcome to attend the Junior School Easter Service, as they will host it for our Years 2-5 students.

  • Junior School Easter Service: 9.00 am, Thursday 1 April (please be seated by 8.55 am)

Our Senior School Easter Service will be at 11.00 am but due to the PAC being filled with Senior students and staff, parents and guardians will not be able to attend.

After not being able to share this important time together last year, it will be particularly special to mark this week together as a school community, marking the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, founder of the Christian faith.

Easter Blessings

Sending you every blessing as we conclude the term. Have a safe and happy holiday period together with those you love.

May you remember the story of forgiveness and eternal hope the Easter story provides.
